IoT NB-IoT Water Meter System

Networking method :

RS-485 and M-BUS:

RS-485 is a four-wire system with positive and negative poles and two communication lines A and B. The lines must correspond. The working voltage of the water meter is 12-24V.

M-BUS is a two-wire system with only positive and negative poles and no correspondence. The working voltage of the water meter is 24-36V.

Wired architecture :

System + acquisition equipment + wired communication water and electricity meter

Main equipment :

Intelligent meter reading management platform, concentrator, collector, wired communication (RS-485, M-BUS) water and electricity meter

Configuration requirements :

One concentrator can carry 20 collectors with a maximum distance of 1200m, and one collector can carry up to 128 (generally no more than 100) water meters or electricity meters with a maximum distance of 300m.

Wired and wireless :

What are the advantages of wired and wireless solutions?

Wireless is more convenient. You only need to install the water and electricity meter and debug it online. No wiring is required. In a project, the wireless solution is simpler.

The wired solution will be more stable in terms of communication in the future.
