Electromagnetic flowmeter is used to measure the volumetric flow rate of conductive fluid and slurry in a closed pipeline based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. It can also measure the flow rate of liquid-solid two-phase flow, high viscosity liquid flow, and corrosive liquids such as salts, strong acids, and strong bases. Electromagnetic flow meters are widely used for flow measurement and control in various industries such as water supply and drainage, water treatment, environmental wastewater measurement and control, petrochemicals, steel metallurgy, water conservancy and irrigation, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, food and other production processes. Large caliber instruments are commonly used in water supply and drainage engineering. Small and medium-sized diameters are commonly used for difficult to measure solid-liquid two-phase fluids or in high demand environments. Small caliber and micro caliber are commonly used in places with hygiene requirements such as the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, and biotechnology.
Characteristics of electromagnetic flowmeter
1.2.1 Electromagnetic flowmeter sensors have the following characteristics:
The linear measurement principle can achieve high-precision measurement without being affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity;
There are no flow blocking components inside the measuring tube, with low pressure loss and low requirements for straight pipe sections;
The measurable flow range is large, and the range ratio can be better than 1:20;
The nominal diameter of DN10-DN3200 has a wide coverage range, and there are multiple options for lining and electrodes to meet the requirements of measuring various conductive fluids.
1.2.2. The electromagnetic flowmeter converter has the following characteristics:
Adopting a 32-bit embedded microprocessor, fully digital processing, fast computing speed, strong anti-interference ability, reliable measurement, and high accuracy;
Low frequency square wave excitation, excitation frequency: 1/16 power frequency, 1/20 power frequency, 1/25 power frequency;
High frequency square wave excitation, excitation frequency: 1/2 power frequency (suitable for slurry measurement) (optional);
The excitation current can be selected as 125mA, 187.5mA, or 250mA;
● It has conductivity measurement function, no need for additional electrodes for empty tube measurement function, self check and self diagnosis function, continuous measurement, and constant value alarm;
Flow velocity measurement range: 0.1-15 meters/second, flow velocity resolution: 0.5 millimeters/second;
● AC high-frequency switching power supply, applicable voltage range: 85VAC~250VAC; DC 24V switching power supply, applicable voltage range: 20VDC –36VDC;
● Signal output: pulse, frequency output, 4-20mA current output;
Network functions: MODBUS, HART (optional);

There are three internal integrators that can record the total amount: forward total amount, reverse total amount, and difference total amount;
