Against the backdrop of Indonesia’s ambitious target to achieve 90% clean water coverage by 2030, the INDO WATER EXPO & FORUM 2025 emerged as a pivotal platform for addressing the nation’s water management challenges. From August 13-15, Shenzhen Jiaronghua Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its cutting-edge smart metering solutions at Booth BK 48 in the China Pavilion of Jakarta International Expo Center, attracting extensive attention from industry professionals and government representatives alike.

Tech Innovations Tailored for Tropical Challenges

At the heart of Jiaronghua’s exhibition was its range of intelligent water meters specifically engineered for Southeast Asia’s harsh environmental conditions. The star product, an 4G-enabled ultrasonic water meter, demonstrated remarkable resilience with its -20℃ to 50℃ operating temperature range and IP68 waterproof rating—critical features for Indonesia’s high-humidity climate.

“Our technology directly addresses Indonesia’s 35% pipeline leakage rate through precision monitoring,” explained Ms. Yang, Jiaronghua’s International Business Director, during the product demonstration. The meters boast a measurement accuracy of ±0.5% even at ultra-low flow rates (0.01L/h), ensuring accurate billing and leak detection for utility companies (PDAMs) struggling with non-revenue water issues.

Complementing the hardware was Jiaronghua’s digital management platform, which integrates real-time data analytics, remote valve control, and predictive maintenance functions. This comprehensive solution resonates strongly with Indonesia’s smart city initiatives, particularly in Jakarta where urban water demand grows at 5% annually.

On-Site Dynamics: Bridging Technology and Local Needs

The Jiaronghua booth became a hub of activity as representatives from Indonesian water authorities, engineering firms, and municipal governments gathered to explore potential collaborations. A key highlight was the interactive demonstration of how the smart metering system could be customized for local conditions.

“This isn’t just a meter—it’s a water management brain,” Ms. Yang emphasized to a group of visitors from PDAM Jakarta. She showcased case studies illustrating how similar technology reduced water loss by 20% in pilot projects across Southeast Asia, aligning with Indonesia’s national strategy to modernize water infrastructure.

Technical discussions focused on practical applications, including integration with Indonesia’s existing water grids, compliance with local standards, and after-sales support networks. Jiaronghua’s ability to deliver localized solutions—from multilingual software interfaces to heat-resistant components—positioned the company as a viable partner for long-term projects.

Exhibition Highlights and Future Outlook

Over the three-day event, Jiaronghua’s team held productive discussions with over 120 potential clients, including 15 provincial PDAMs and major engineering conglomerates. Preliminary cooperation intention were reached with three companies for pilot projects in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung—cities grappling with acute water management challenges.

“We’re impressed by Indonesia’s commitment to water infrastructure development,” stated Ms. Yang. “Our participation in INDO WATER 2025 reinforces our strategy to bring proven smart water solutions to emerging markets. The response validates the growing demand for reliable, cost-effective technologies that address local needs.”

As Indonesia continues to urbanize rapidly—with 65% of its population projected to live in cities by 2030—Jiaronghua is poised to play a significant role in the nation’s water management transformation. The company plans to establish a local technical support center in Jakarta to provide timely service for upcoming projects, reflecting the industry trend toward strengthened local partnerships.

Gratitude goes to all visitors and partners who stopped by Booth BK 48. Shenzhen Jiaronghua looks forward to contributing to Indonesia’s sustainable water future, one smart meter at a time.
